Zagreb – Slavonski Brod – Đakovo – Vukovar – Ilok – Osijek – Erdut – Bilje – Kopački Rit – Karanac – Tikveš Castle – Kneževi Vinogradi – Stara Kapela – Osijek – Zagreb


Arrival in Zagreb, Croatian capital and the biggest city. Upon arrival we will have a panoramic tour and afterwards  a walking tour with a local guide: Kaptol, Cathedral, Market Dolac, church and Square of St. Marko. After sightseeing of Zagreb bus transfer of Slavonski Brod. Rest and refreshment in village Živike near Slavonski Brod where you will visit Eco farm Kereković. There you will taste the famous Slavonian specialties and experience horse riding. After the great time on the Eco farm we will take you for a boat ride on the River Sava. During the ride you can see domestic animals on watering place and traditional way of life on the water and by the water. Our next stop in Slavonski Brod. Tour continues with an active participation of visitors in the Living History program with costumed Hussars and horsemen in Fortress Brod. In Slavonski Brod you will also visit the old Franciscan Monastery, the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Museum of Brod. Accommodation in hotel. Overnight.


After breakfast we continue our journey to Đakovo, a small Salvonian town, famous for its Cathedral and the Stud Farm of Lipizzans. We will visit the State Stud Farm, which is the oldest European stud farm, with a tradition over 500 years. After a tour we will visit the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul from 19th century. Next stop of our trip is the village Ivankovo., where we will visit the farm “Antin Stan”, well-known for its old fashioned and home-made dishes and manufacturing. Transfer  to the Archaeological Park Sopot, where remains of the Franciscan monastery and church from 15th century are. Furthermore, we will visit hunting ground “Kunjevci” – the largest reserve of fallow deer in Croatia. Bus transfer to Vukovar. Accommodation in hotel. Free time. Dinner. Overnight.


Breakfast. A panoramic and walking tour around town of Vukovar – the symbol of Croatian independence and heroism: Trpinja Road – Borovo – Danube port – Fairground – turnpike –water tower – a symbol of defense of Vukovar, Ovčara, the war hospital… The town was severely destroyed during the civil war in 1991 and from now on has very significant role in the contemporary history of Croatia. After a tour of Vukovar we continue to Ilok, easternmost point of Croatia. Upon arrival to this picturesque town, famous center of winemaking area we will go sightseeing with a local guide; Church of St. John Capistrano, old wine cellars, the Odescalchi Castle, the walls of thefrom the 15st c. We will visit the old wine cellars of Ilok where you will enjoy wine tasting. Drive towards Osijek. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight.


Breakfast. Transfer to Osijek, the largest city in Slavonia and Baranja and a city tour: Ante Starčević square, the most sacred monument and the symbol of the city – the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the suspension bridge that connects Slavonia and Baranja. We will visit the Fort (Tvrđa) – the old city part with the old square and museums. Driving toward Aljmaš, the Shrine of Our Lady of Sanctuary, which pilgrims have been visiting since 1704. Continuation of tour through the landscape hills above the Danube. Our stop is Erdut, a small village famous for its winecellar and a medieval tower. After a tour and wine tasting we continue our trip to the village of Bilje. Dinner will be served on the Eco farm “On Eagle’s way”. Return to the hotel. Overnight.


After the breakfast transfer to the Nature Park Kopački Rit. It is a floodplain area of the rivers Danube and Drava, situated in northeast Croatia. Furthermore, it is one of the largest alluvial plaints in Europe that expends to the north all the way to Szekszard in the Republic of Hungary. You will see the presentation of Nature Park; tourist guide will take you through the area and you will be amazed by the beauty of nature during a boat tour. Also you will visit the famous hunting castle – Tikveš. Continuation of our journey to the ethno village Karanac, known for its large number of wellpreserved and inhabited Pannonian traditional houses that have gardens decorated with ethno elements such as wooden beds, old wheels and other elements preserved from ancient times. Dinner will be served in the ethno restaurant Baranja house. During dinner you will be entertained by a live gipsy band. Return to hotel. Overnight.


Breakfast. Bus transfer to Kneževi Vinogradi (Duke` s Vineyards), a small Baranja´s village famous for its wineries and ancient wine cellars with clay floors and wooden barrels. You will be able to taste several high quality and reworded wines. Departure to Eco – ethno village Stara Kapela, the old Slavonian village situated between the slope of Požega‘s mountain to a harmonious life with untouched nature and authentic architecture. We recommend typical Slavonian dinner in delightful rural ambiance. After a lovely dinner return to hotel. Overnight.
