Zagreb is an old Central European city that has for centuries been the Croatian centre of culture and science, and now of commerce and industry as well.
The capital of Croatia, has excellent air, road and train connections to other European and non-European cities. For instance, it is only 390 km away from Vienna, 576 km from Munich, 380 km from Budapest and 420 km from Venice.
Zagreb can offer its visitors the Baroque atmosphere of the Upper Town, picturesque open-air markets, diverse shopping facilities, an abundant selection of crafts and an excellent choice of traditional and contemporary cuisine. Zagreb is a city of green parks and walks, with many places to visit in the beautiful surroundings.

Day 01 ZAGREB arrival
Meet and great at Zagreb Airport followed by a private transfer to your hotel. Afternoon walking city tour. The tour will include Zrinjevac Park with Art Pavilion, Ban Jelacic Square, Kaptol Square with the Cathedral of st. Stephen, picturesque Dolac open air market, Tkalciceva street, the Stone Gate, st. Mark’s Square with church of st. Mark, Parliament and Government buildings. The tour will end in front of the Lotrscak tower, a panoramic spot where you will discover one of the shortest funicular’s ride in the world that will take you to the Ilica street – the main shopping zone. Overnight at chosen hotel.
Day 02 ZAGREB city tour
It is time to explore the city center on your own. Saturday mornings are special time for locals. Start with fresh fruit bought on Dolac open air market and than make sure that you grab a nice seat at one of bistro terraces on the „Špica“ area – the must be zone of Bogoviceva street and Preradovic Square (also called the Flower Square).
Seat and talk over a cup of espresso or cappuccino, or just relax in the lazy weekend atmosphere. Use afternoon for shopping or visit the Maksimir park with the Zoo or Jarun lake area. Overnight at chosen hotel.
Day 03 ZAGREB departure
Sunday mornings in Zagreb are quiet and sleepy. If your flight schedule allows you, than do not miss to visit the Botanical garden placed in the city center before your private transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

► Hrvatsko Zagorje (Full day excursion)
Meet the highlights of Hrvatsko Zagorje – Krapina and its newly built Neanderthal Museum Husnjakovo. Meet the Neanderthal family which is shown in various life situations in a semi-cave with hyper-realistic sculptures, which can be touched. The archaeological site on neighboring hill Husnjak consists over eight hundred fossil remains of 75 Neanderthals along with tools and weapons, making it one of the most significant in Europe. Continue towards Lepoglava – the cradle of science, art and culture, known after Lepoglava lace which won the gold award at World Fair in 1937 in Paris. Sightseeing of monuments – parish church and monastery wit frescoes of Ivan Ranger. Visiting the home production of the marvelous lace. On the way to Zagreb visit Church of St. Mary’s of Snow in Belec – valuable treasure of Baroque wall-paintings. Lunch in a local restaurant or picnic, including traditional Croatian food menu.
► Castle Trakoscan and baroque Varazdin (Full day excursion)
Enjoy the day in the most beautiful town of central Croatia and the most attractive castle. Drive to Varazdin, once capital of Croatia which glory can be seen in old baroque city nucleus with many different palaces and churches dating between 16th and 20th century, the Old Town City walls “Stari grad”, the Town Hall, Varaždin´s cemetery which is the pearl of park architecture and a natural monument. Traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Continue drive to another beautiful part of Croatia – Trakoscan castle which belonged to the aristocrat family Draskovic and was turned into the museum during 20th century. The inventory dates between 15th and 19th century. Free time for wondering around and drive back to Zagreb.
